Introducing Tangier — a minimalist, clean-lined bespoke kitchen crafted to make the most of simplicity, good materials and clever design. Built by Wood Works Brighton, this project proves that a kitchen doesn’t have to be flashy to be fine: it can be beautifully functional, understated, and built with integrity.

From the very first conversation to the final installation, Tangier was envisioned as a kitchen with honest materials and tailored construction. By using raw birch plywood carcasses and laminate surfaces, we delivered a kitchen that’s durable, easy to maintain and looks effortlessly calm. The in-frame joinery emphasises clean lines, craftsmanship, and a subtle aesthetic that lets the wood speak for itself.

This kitchen is a demonstration of how bespoke kitchen design can marry modesty and quality — offering a practical, handcrafted kitchen solution that respects material, budget, and sustainability without compromising on style or build integrity.

• Cabinet carcasses & structure — built from high-quality raw birch plywood, cut and assembled in-frame, providing strength, durability and a natural, honest material foundation for the kitchen.
• Surfaces & Doors — and laminate-faced doors/surfaces, balancing practicality and wear-resistance with a straightforward, easy-care finish ideal for kitchens that see plenty of everyday action.
• Handles & Details — minimal or built-in handles / cut-out pulls designed to complement the pared-back aesthetic; subtle details that keep the overall look clean-lined and unfussy.
• Bespoke construction & layout — each unit, shelf and dimension tailored to the space — ensuring a fitted kitchen that works hard for its footprint and avoids wasted space.
