TANTA - Bespoke Modern Yellow Kitchen

A STYLISH COMPACT KITCHEN LAYOUT

Our kitchen design process:

‘Though she be but little, she is fierce’* springs to mind with this bold and compact kitchen layout!

This bespoke blue and modern yellow kitchen design may be small but it has a large personality and plenty of storage. With its zesty colours, it could easily be mistaken for a kitchen in the Med. However, this fun kitchen is in the heart of Lewes in East Sussex.

Our client had recently moved into her new property and was keen to change the kitchen to something that suited her style, personality and way of life. So we worked together to define how she wanted to use the space and what finish she was looking for. Essentially, we have created a colourful Mediterranean-inspired kitchen.

Valchromat doors in rich shades of blue, yellow and earthy burnt orange were added to robust birch ply kitchen cabinets. This was further enhanced with a solid Durat work surface to inject yet more colour. Durat is a solid material made from recycled post-industrial plastic. It can be used to create a seamless surface in interior applications with a distinctive terrazzo speckled finish.

We thoroughly enjoyed crafting this bold bespoke kitchen in Lewes.

KITCHEN HIGHLIGHTS

Open shelving
Within the compact kitchen design, our client opted for some open shelving to display a selection of her glassware, plants and tonal ceramic pots.
The Durat worktop
To add yet more colour to this dark blue and yellow kitchen, our client chose a neutral Durat work surface that was flecked with multicoloured speckles.
Bold shades of Valchromat
To achieve a modern yellow kitchen design, accented with rusty orange-ochre and marine blue, we couldn’t think of a better product than durable and vibrant Valchromat.
