OAK & HAND PAINTED SHAKER KITCHEN

OUR KITCHEN DESIGN PROCESS:

Mogadishu is a sleek oak and navy blue Shaker kitchen. We loved working on this kitchen for a few reasons.

Our clients sought a slight spin on the classic panelled style doors. We made the navy Shaker kitchen cabinets with slimmer stiles and rails (the verticals and horizontals that make up the panelled door frame). This gives the kitchen a more modern and contemporary look and feel.

We mixed in rustic oak panels to add some warmth to the dark blue Shaker kitchen units. We’re pleased with the way the glazed wall cabinet doors look right through onto the beautiful soft white tiles behind.

We added a walk-in pantry to help keep the main kitchen clutter-free and minimal – the fresh blue and white geometric wall tiles look great in there.

The banquette seating – which has bespoke upholstery – works fantastically well for the whole family. Finally, we echoed the oak Shaker kitchen cabinets with a tunnel book case – matched in the same oak – so the kitchen space really flows into the rest of the home.
