About Lagos

Meet Lagos — a striking bespoke kitchen, crafted as part of a rear- and side-extension project in Brighton.

Lagos marries a bold, contemporary aesthetic with the timeless warmth and authenticity of natural materials. It’s a kitchen designed not just to look beautiful, but to perform — delivering a space where cooking, living and socialising come together in harmony.

From the outset, we worked to refine a deep and striking green tone for the cabinetry, balancing it with natural oak elements and clean, durable worktops. Overcoming the challenges of envisioning a kitchen before the room existed, we drew on our experience and close collaboration with the clients to finalise a layout and palette that feels confident, cohesive and distinctly bespoke.

Lagos shows what bespoke kitchen design does best: a kitchen tailored to the home, built for real life, and crafted to stand the test of time — with a nod to sustainability and thoughtful material choices.

KITCHEN DETAILS

Cabinetry & Materials

  • Fronts: Deep green panels crafted in green Valchromat, paired with oak birch ply fronts and end-grain birch ply — offering a layered, textured look with warmth and character.
  • Carcasses: Built from high-quality birch ply (FSC or responsibly sourced where possible) — aligning with our commitment to sustainable, long-lasting bespoke kitchens.
  • Worktops: Clean, crisp white Durat — a durable solid-surface material that contrasts elegantly with the dark cabinetry and oak, while delivering resilience for everyday kitchen use.

Sustainability & Craftsmanship

  • Responsibly-sourced timber: Carcasses and plywood components are selected to meet eco-standards, aligning with our broader sustainable kitchen philosophy.
  • Durable build quality: Cabinets and joinery are crafted with longevity in mind — ensuring this bespoke kitchen withstands daily use, reduces need for replacement, and avoids the pitfalls of “fast-furniture.”
  • Eco-minded finishes: Where possible, finishes and treatments are chosen for low-VOC, non-toxic properties to support indoor air quality and environmental responsibility.

WHY LAGOS IS A TRUE BESPOKE & SUSTAINABLE KITCHEN

With Lagos, we’ve created more than just a cooking space — we’ve crafted a kitchen that reflects personality, lifestyle and thoughtful design. The combination of bespoke joinery, high-quality materials (Valchromat, birch ply and oak), and sustainable practices ensures that Lagos isn’t a fleeting trend — it’s a kitchen built to live in, grow with you, and last for decades.

This kitchen stands as an example of how bespoke kitchens should be: individually designed, carefully constructed, visually striking, and environmentally conscious.
