About Likasi
We are delighted to introduce Likasi – a contemporary bespoke kitchen in charcoal and natural oak.
We had a lot of fun designing and creating a stunning bespoke oak kitchen for this detached home in Hove. The space was part of a large side and rear extension that provided us with an almost blank canvas. For the pill-shaped charcoal-stained oak island we wanted to try something different. If you look closely, you’ll notice the flutes get larger as they come around the curve – Francois was inspired by the contours of a Slinky spring toy. The island is fully equipped with state-of-the-art appliances and hidden sockets in the drawers.
From a layout perspective, we had two walkways to contend with. One for the hidden pantry and the other for the boiler room. Getting these to line up perfectly with our design was a challenge. However, with a careful eye on the build team on-site, we were able to achieve this.
Pure natural oak kitchen cabinets provide the perfect backdrop for the show-stopper charcoal-stained fluted oak island.
Finishing touches of fluted glass doors, sleek black handles and bold black and Calacatta Oro terrazzo worktop complete the kitchen beautifully.
