A JAPANDI KITCHEN DESIGN

Our kitchen design process:

Rachel and Sarah commissioned our team to design and build their dream olive colour kitchen. While olive green kitchen designs have gained popularity in recent years, our discerning clients wanted something unique to them rather than settling for an ‘off-the-peg’ option.

This dark olive green and wood kitchen sits within a spacious extension, beneath an expansive glass roof that floods the room with natural light. Dakar is a contemporary Japandi kitchen design, combining elements of Japanese simplicity and tranquil Scandinavian style. We’ve created a functional room that also serves as a comfortable entertainment space to be enjoyed.

For this bespoke kitchen in Worthing, we used olive green Forbo Furniture Linoleum on the doors and accented this with touches of fluted oak to act as a contrasting accent. The forest green and Japandi kitchen style work beautifully in the light and airy space.

We installed spacious pantry cupboards and drawer storage so that stowed everyday items are still easily accessible. The generous island unit is a real feature of the kitchen and allows guests to relax and socialise with their hosts.

All of our projects are collaborative, in the sense that we work closely with our clients to realise their visions. However, this project was next level as Sarah handmade their elegant oak handles – a labour of love that really adds a special touch to their olive green kitchen design.

KITCHEN HIGHLIGHTS

Fluted oak accents
The warm tone and rippled texture of the fluted oak works beautifully alongside the olive Forbo in this Japandi kitchen design.
Hanex worktops
Our clients chose crisp white Hanex to contrast with the green cabinets and subtly bounce light around the room.
The elongated oak drawer and door handles
Sarah’s tall oak door handles and drawer pulls really elevate the fluted oak and olive colour kitchen.
