A BEAUTIFUL WOODEN KITCHEN

Our kitchen design process:

Bangui is a stylish modern Japandi kitchen. This was a joint collaboration with Emer Gillespie – from the Brighton light company, Spark & Bell – to design and build a bespoke kitchen for their private home.

There was a good base design brief already so we evolved it to fit the space. We initially toyed with adding colours or other textures, as so much oak might have been overpowering. However, the beauty of a real wood kitchen is that there are so many tones, shades and textures that it can never be too much.

The delicate curves are what make this beautiful wooden kitchen extra special. We all knew that all the curves would feature the flute oak which is the perfect subtle accent. The oak Japandi kitchen cabinets are elevated with the addition of matte brass handles and kickboards.

Our client commented:
“I am over the moon with our kitchen. It’s absolutely stunning and more than I could have hoped for. I had a clear vision of what I wanted and Francois and Adam made it come to life. It wasn’t the easiest kitchen to build but they rose to the task and I am very happy with the quality and finish of our kitchen.”

KITCHEN HIGHLIGHTS

  1. Marble feature wall
The dramatic black and taupe veined marble adds a luxurious touch to the Japandi kitchen style.
  2. Hidden pantry
With its curved edge, the concealed pantry provides a huge amount of storage space, meaning that our client can be very intentional with what is on display in their kitchen.
  3. Banquette seating
We love the built-in seating that also adds storage. It is accented with fluted oak and upholstered in beautiful green ribbed velvet.
